Dear Mrs. LaRue

It’s us the Hibbins’ cats. Just in case you forgot what we looked like we are slim, regular sized cats. Our colors are black, white, and brown.Lets get to the point.During the Fall this year maybe you could tell Ike to STOP CHASING US!!!If you would do that we will be grateful.By the way, you need to send Ike back to obedience school,  because while he was gone we had the time of our lives!Oh!Also could you call the obedience school and tell them that they should do a better job of keeping dogs from escaping.Ike got out, and whenever we found out we were not happy not happy at all.Just to let you know our opinions of Ike are… He is the WORST DOG THAT HAS EVER LIVED!Thank you for reading this note.

Sincerely,

The Hibbins’ cats

Dueling Mandates in Yellowstone

In the winter of 1995 after a 70 year absence from Yellowstone wolves are back!It was once thought that wolves were just straight down trouble, and that they killed too many Elk and Sheep. Then people started to realise that wolves were a important to the ecosystem and that they were becoming extinct. Now that the wolves are back people are trying too keep the wolves safe and are even coming up with more ideas!I think the best solution out of three ideas would be to not radio collar the wolves because they are wild animals and even if it means a early death.3 pros about not radio collaring the wolves are 1. Wolves have more freedom. 2. The radio collars won’t bother the wolves.               3. Since the radio collars don’t bother the wolves they can help the environment more than they would if they did.Three Cons about not putting radio collars on wolves are 1. There will be more dead wolves. 2. There will be more car accidents. 3. More animals killed.I wonder if   Yellowstone will take suggestions or not only one way to find out.

J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling became famous by writing the Harry Potter series. Before the series was released she got turned back 12 times! Finally she got the first book published. She sold 5,000 copies throughout the world! 2 ways J.K. Rowling are alike are that we both like cute animals, and love Harry Potter.3 ways that we are different are that we are not the same age, She is a writer, {I am not}, last but not least her favorite color is pink. One thing that surprised me about her was that she owns two dogs. Whenever J.K. Rowling was little she was poor now days she has 700 million dollars! What I most admire about J.K. Rowling is that she is a good writer wait she is not a good writer or a great writer she is a terrific writer!

Deborah Samson

The redcoats and patriots had a fierce battle. In 1776 the Liberty bell rang with chimes of freedom.Decon believed that women were not fit for war or battle, and that they should stay home and do housework. Some examples are cook clean look after children. There were also slaves.Pretty much every man thought woman were not fit for battle.Whenever Deborah Samson came of age she stitched herself a man’s uniform to fit her and then she signed up to fight in the war.She had walked 40 miles to get there. Whenever she got there she disguised herself so well that the taft got fooled to think she was a man.She finally got to fight in the war!Another one of the ways that she fooled every body, was since she worked on a farm so she was muscular.Debora was happy that she go to fight in the war. Once the war started of course everybody fought.A few hours later Deborah got shot of course she had a undercover name, someone brought her to a nurse. Then they discovered that she was a woman they asked her what her real name was.Apparently they let her go after they healed her.Deborah samson sure had a crazy adventure.

Midnight Ride

Midnight is when it took place

It is a important part of history

During when Paul Revere was riding he got captured by the British

Next whenever he was with the British they let him go

In the story the colonists are British so are, well the British

Grasping the opportunity to get away from the British Paul Revere left them.

He said the famous saying”One if by land two if by sea”.

The saying is talking about lanterns one lantern=land two equals sea.

Revere was warning the colonists the”British are coming”!

Indeed there were three riders riding at midnight

Date was in month of April

Excitingly two of the locations were Lexington and Concord

M.L.K.

Last Friday my teacher gave me a challenge. The challenge was to help out someone or do a good deed,so I did. That deed{s} was/were helping do the chores around the house, and try not to annoy my brother or Dad.Also make the most out of my day and try to help lots of people. There are most likely more things but I don’t think you’re interested in reading them.I have seen other people doing good deeds too. Some of those good deeds were making people feel good about themselves with nice comments! One thing that I thought that made quite a few people so cheerful was the lunar eclipse on the night before.Let’s not get into too many details.I had a very good time during M.L.K. day yes a very good time.

Colonial Potter

Once again I’m making pots, bowls, glasses, and much more. The clay that potters use is like the clay that brickmakers use.First of all I have to add sand to temper it.Whenever I add sand it makes the clay stronger. So now I’m going to mold the clay on the potter’s wheel. The way a potters wheel works is that I have to pump the wheels foot pedal to make it spin.Since the clay is already on the wheel I use my thumbs to mold it.Sometimes I make spouts, handles, buttons, and pipes. Each piece had to be bone dry before I fire it in the kiln. After the pot was baked it had to dry slowly so it won’t crack. Now I have my pot!Even though it is hard work I got it all done. Now I can sell the pot to get lots of stuff!Of course I only get one thing at a time, but eventually  I will get all of that stuff. Today was a great day,now time to make more pottery.
